Head injuries can have a devastating impact on its victims. The incidence of individuals suffering from head injuries is on the rise and affects victims of all ages. Mortality rates of those suffering from various forms of head trauma is high. Treatments provided by EMS personnel can have a powerful impact in patient outcomes. This online continuing education course will offer a review of head injuries and is worth 1.0 CEU hours. Georgia’s State Office of EMS and Trauma has approved CEU hours for this course. Additionally, the National Registry of EMT’s will accept this course as continuing education hours.
