Description
Understanding the internal structures and functions of the human body is an essential knowledge base for any healthcare provider. EMS personnel can utilize this knowledge to help in assessment and treatment of their patients specific needs. Additionally, it gives EMS personnel and understanding as to the “Why” we do things and “Why” we might notice specific patterns in responses to treatments to specific conditions.
Focusing on the pediatric population, this course will serve as a great refresher for those seeking relicensure / recertification continuing education hours. The State of Georgia’s Department of Public Health’s Office of EMS and Trauma has awarded 0.5 CEU hours for this course. This course is also accepted by the National Registry of EMT’s for 0.5 CEU of distributive education.
