Kids are constanting learning and exploring everything around them. This normal behavior can inadvertently lead to problems regardless of how cautious a caregiver is. In certain circumstances, and in the flash of an eye, a child could easily swallow someone’s heart medications or accidently drink something that is poisonous. This could lead to serious circumstances if not treated appropriately.
This course will go over some of the common toxicological issues that pediatric patients can encounter. This is a good refresher for EMS personnel of any level.
This course is approved for 0.5 CEU credits through Georgia’s State Office of EMS and Trauma and accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
