Transporting our patients in an ambulance is one of the most dangerous, and often overlooked, aspect of care that EMS personnel deliver to patients. It is essential for EMT’s and Paramedics to understand how to properly package and transport patients of all ages. This course focuses on the transport of pediatric patients in the prehospital setting. After taking this continuing education course, EMS personnel will understand why it is important to properly restrain pediatric patients by utilizing the correct pediatric restraint devices that are approved for transporting children. At the conclusion of this online course, participants will receive 0.5 CEU hours that is National Registry of EMT’s accepted and approved by Georgia’s State Office of EMS and Trauma.
